WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY MATERNITY SESSION?

I recommend booking your maternity session as early as you can — ideally once you’ve had your 20-week scan. My sunset sessions often book out months in advance, so the earlier we get you in the calendar, the better.


Your session will usually take place between 30–36 weeks, when your bump is beautifully round but you’re hopefully still feeling comfortable enough to enjoy the session.

WHAT IF I DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA?

Honestly, most of my clients tell me this before their session - so please don’t worry.

You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do with your hands. I’ll guide you through everything, from where to stand and where to look, right down to the little movements that photograph beautifully.

My sessions are relaxed, gentle and completely guided. You just need to show up and trust me 🤍

Absolutely. Partners are not only welcome, I encourage them to be part of your session.

This chapter belongs to both of you, and some of my favourite images are the quiet little moments between you while you’re waiting to meet your baby.

My maternity sessions take place outdoors at sunset in some of my favourite locations around Perth.


Once you’re booked, I’ll help you choose a location that suits the feel you want for your images — whether that’s soft, earthy hills or dreamy beach light.

HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY IMAGES?

Within 7 days of your session, you’ll receive an online selection gallery with your images base-edited in my signature Soul & Sand style.


You’ll then have 7 days to choose the images included in your package, with the option to upgrade if you fall in love with more.


Once your selections are submitted, I’ll complete the final retouching and your finished high-resolution gallery will be delivered digitally within approximately 4 weeks.

I keep a close eye on the weather leading up to every outdoor session.


A little cloud doesn’t scare me, but if the weather genuinely isn’t suitable or safe to shoot in, we’ll follow the rescheduling process outlined in your booking agreement. I’ll keep you updated so you’re not left wondering what’s happening.

This is one of the reasons I recommend photographing your maternity session between 30–36 weeks rather than leaving it until the very end.
